내면에 투채로 초충도(草蟲圖)가 그려지고 외벽에 청화로 풍성하게 핀 장수 복숭아 사이를 날아다니는 두 마리의 용이 그려진 완입니다.
초충도(草蟲圖)는 주변에서 흔히 접할 수 있는 풀과 벌레를 그린 그림으로 여러 가지 채소를 함께 그리기도 합니다.
큼직한 배추와 잘 익은 벼를 중심으로 가지와 수박, 버섯과 고추 등이 풍성하게 그려졌고 다산(多産)을 의미하는 여치가 긴 더듬이와 다리를 움직이는 듯 생동감 있게 채소 위로 다니고 있습니다.
장수를 상징하는 복숭아와 위엄을 나타내는 용이 만나 상서로운 의미를 나타내고 초충도는 풍작을 의미하며 자연을 섬세하게 관찰하고 찬미하는 뜻이 담겨 있습니다.
흔치 않은 문양으로 황제용으로 추정됩니다.
굽 바닥에 이 유물이 청나라 건륭 시기의 것임을 알려주는 '대청건륭년제(大清乾隆年製)' 관지가 쓰여 있습니다.

象征长寿的桃子，与象征威严的龙的结合，寓意祥瑞。
